Meet our new son, Ty Le Sanza!!! You will be happy to know that this little boy is the sweetest thing! This day has been the hardest day in my life, but also the best ever. They brought him to the hotel. I walked over to the nanny and I bent down to him, although he would not make eye contact with me. His nanny then left him with me pretty quickly and walked out the door. He immediately began to cry and point to her. This was very heartbreaking, as you can imagine. Little Hannah could not handle it anymore and began to cry, along with Frank over on the side. I tried so hard to hold it together for him so that I could soothe him. We got him up to our hotel room and he was crying for about 10 minutes. As we started giving him toys, he began to calm down fairly quickly. He then stopped crying and began to play with his toys and his new big sister. He kept staring at her in amazement. He then started handing us toys, one by one. I was amazed that his crying only lasted about 15 minutes, then it was over. After that, we took him to the Civil Affairs Office and took passport pictures. I am happy to say he has already accepted us into his life. Tonight, in the room, Frank was making him giggle like crazy and Ty is already calling Frank, "Papa"! He is calling me mama and gave me a kiss on the cheek. He is more warm towards Frank (than me) right now, which actually makes my heart so glad! I know I will have my time later. Frank is *really* good with him, making him laugh and blowing on his stomach. Ty then imitates everything Frank does.
There is so much more I want to say but can't right now because I have a very BAD internet connection here. The good news is that tomorrow we will be in a different hotel and I'm hopeful the internet connection will be better. For now, just know we are EXTREMELY pleased with what has happened today. Don't get me wrong, it has been emotionally exhausting because he has cried a few times today ... but for the most part ... pretty mild. I am EXHAUSTED!!! Also, Ty can only drink liquids and eat really soft foods because of his esophagus problem. It's a little worse than we thought because he can't seem to swallow anything solid without spitting it back up. But we still can't get over what a happy little boy he is ... in spite of this! I'm confident that this can be helped once we return and get him to the doctor. Please be sure to tune-in tomorrow when my internet connection is better. PRAISE GOD FOR THE GIFT HE HAS GIVEN US TODAY!!!

I am so excited to finally see Ty in your arms. I cried reading your post, our gotcha day with Abby Grace was the same, but the following day she was a different child. She was all smiles. We'll be keeping yal in our prayers.

I know Sharon is counting down the days until Ty and Hudson can play together. I wish we were close enough to get in on those play dates :(
What a wonderful day! Thank you for sharing~
Praise the Lord! What an unbelievable blessing Ty is to you and vice versa! God really eased that transition! It is a huge blessing to get to watch you guys (and the 'Teagues) follow God's calling, no matter the cost! Pam, you are going to HAVE to change the song on your blog...to something a little bit more upbeat!I have to bring a box of Kleenex to the computer everytime I check your blog! If I come out of the office at home crying, Jeff just says, "So, how are the Sanzas?" (Just teasing!) God is Good/Great!!!!! Love you guys, Shelley

O.K. I'm sitting here bawling my eyes out totally over-joyed for you all. As an adoptive mom, this is bringing back precious memories of holding my baby for the first time. Little Ty has no idea right now what a gift God has given him by placing him with the Sanza family. What a miraculous turn of events. Thank you, God, for God-sized miracles such as this.
Sleep well, Mama and Papa Sanza! God is certainly smiling on you all today. (drip, drip go the tears!)
What a handsome little guy I now have for a grandson! I praise the Lord for His goodness and blessing upon our family. What a wonderful blessing little Ty is! I can't wait until I can see him in person, pick him up, and give him a "grandpa hug"! God is so good! My love to all...Dad
you guys, i am so thankful to the Lord for the gift he has blessed you with - and for Ty's acceptance!
And of course, I am laughing because Lynette said "y'all" and for most people is not that funny...when you hear it with her south african accent though it is quite funny.

Love you guys, thankful with you for a good day for you! See you soon!
You are now the 4 Sanzas! And I'm sitting here at my desk unable to stop crying--the video and pics are precious. I can't even imagine how you are feeling right now -- blessed, overwhelmed, filled with joy, filled with questions, overflowing with thankfulness. I'm so thrilled for you and thankful to God on your behalf. Welcome home, Ty! And congratulations Pam, Frank, and Hannah!
