Family & Friends!Today was "Picture Day" for all the families. Many kids were dressed in Chinese outfits ... Ty was no exception. You gotta love the hat!! We had a fun day. We had to wait in our room for awhile as our paperwork was turned over to the Consulate, just in case there were any questions they could easily call us. Everything turned out OK!
Tomorrow we will go to the Consulate to swear an oath, promising we will take care of Ty and never abandon him. Then we pick up his Visa ... and that will be the very last thing!! Tomorrow we will also begin packing our stuff because we fly out on Friday morning from Guanzhou to Beijing, then Beijing to Chicago, then Chicago to Dallas! Please pray for us on our flight home. We don't know how Ty will do. So far, he's been okay when riding in a Taxi, etc. We are praying for a safe flight and hoping that Ty will sleep much of the time.
We thank you *so much* for sharing our journey with us in this magnificent country. We are so thankful that we have a new little son! I am feeling slightly encouraged today, Ty and I are continuing to make progress and getting a little closer each day. I know it's because so many of you have been praying! Thank you!! We love this little man *so much*. It's super sweet to see him with his new big sissy; he loves her so much already! In the taxi rides he sits next to her and leans his head on her shoulder. She loves that so much! One more post tomorrow ... and then we are headed home!!!!
