Today we went to Dallas to have Ty's esophagus stretched. It was hard to believe it had been 11 months since we had last been there. Such great news! The doctor went in and Ty's esophagus was still open from 11 months ago. They didn't need to stretch him at all whatsoever! We were so encouraged, as was our doctor. He said he didn't want to see us back until January 2011!
Ty was so brave today. He didnt cry in the parking lot, like usual. They just opened a new children's wing that was so great. It helped him have a great time before he had to go under the mask. He was brave and was fighting back tears when we left the play area. Finally he could not hold back any longer as the doctor showed him the oxygen mask. Frank tried to put it on his face to show Ty it was okay, but Ty said "No! No! No!". It was heartbreaking to see him so upset, but soon it was over and we received the great news! Praise God!
