Three Years Ago....

Last week marked a special anniversary. Three years ago on May 5th, we met Ty Le Sanza for the first time. The ride down the elevator to meet him...my stomach was in knots. After months and months of only looking at a picture, and now we were about to meet our son! It's a day I won't soon forget. When I think of how far he has come in three years, I am amazed. From speaking only Chinese and drinking only liquid because of his special need...and now saying words like "difficult" and talking non-stop about the weather, and "Mommy, did you change your mind?" when I go to the store instead of home. Now he is eating anything and being able to swallow. God is so good to us! During the adoption process I remember originally wanting a girl from China so badly, and giving that up to God. A friend of mine encouraged me to do so. The Lord rewarded me with a boy whom I cannot imagine being without now. Below is a video that I don't think I've shown before. It was taken about 15 minutes after we met him and said goodbye to his nanny. He is in our hotel room and we were doing anything we could to make him comfortable. You can see the look of uncertainty in his eyes....but then another video a few days later...he was much more comfortable. I just wanted to show you how far he has come. We are so grateful!
