Hannah made the paper today! We are so proud of her for winning first place in the PSIA state competition of Prose/Interpretive story telling! She read an excerpt from the book "Ramona the Pest." That was a special day for us. We spent all day in Fort Worth for the competition. After hannah advanced to the final, we had a few hours to kill so we did some sight-seeing downtown. The second round in the final was some tough competition from all over the state. There were a few really good kids that did an outstanding job. We held our breath at the award ceremony where they started announcing with 5th place and made their way up. When they got to 3rd place, hannah's name had not been called yet. It was when they said the 2nd place winner that I started to cry realizing she had gotten first. Her months of practice really paid off. Both frank and I were bursting. She sat humbly in the back seat on the way home while her proud parents were yelling out the window on the freeway!
